Publish with Us
The Integrated Ergonomics Journal (IEJ) publishes high-quality original research,
review articles, and applied studies that advance integrated ergonomics through
engineering- and technology-driven approaches to enhance human performance,
safety, comfort, health, and overall well-being. The journal emphasizes
practical, evidence-based solutions that address real-world challenges in
industrial, organizational, and service systems.
IEJ focuses on engineering and technology ergonomics interventions, ergonomics
standards and compliance, and occupational safety and health (OSH) best practices,
as well as integrated cognitive ergonomics. The scope further includes assistive
and rehabilitation technologies, transportation and mobility ergonomics,
sustainable and green ergonomics, participatory ergonomics, human-centered design,
and AI-driven ergonomics.
Strong emphasis is placed on inclusive design, sustainable workplaces, worker
participation, and the application of artificial intelligence, predictive
analytics, and digital twins for proactive ergonomic risk management. Overall,
IEJ provides a multidisciplinary platform that bridges human factors theory,
technological innovation, and real-world practice to support safer, more
efficient, and sustainable human-centered systems.

Publication Ethics
The Integrated Ergonomics Journal (IEJ) is committed to upholding the highest
standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in scholarly
publishing. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to adhere to the
following principles, consistent with international best practices in
publication ethics.
Authors must present research findings clearly, accurately, and honestly.
Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data is strictly
prohibited. Methods and data should be described in sufficient detail to
allow reproducibility, and raw data should be made available where feasible.
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial
intellectual contributions to the work. The roles and contributions of
each author must be clearly stated, and contributors who do not meet
authorship criteria should be appropriately acknowledged.
Manuscripts submitted to IEJ must be original and not under consideration
elsewhere. Duplicate or redundant publication is not permitted. Extended
versions of conference papers must demonstrate substantial new content and
clearly acknowledge the original source.
All authors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal
relationships that could be perceived as influencing the research or its
interpretation.
Authors are responsible for obtaining written permission to reuse
copyrighted material and must ensure proper attribution in accordance with
copyright laws and licensing requirements.
Authors must promptly inform the editorial office of any significant errors
discovered after publication. IEJ may issue corrections, expressions of
concern, or retractions in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must
comply with relevant institutional, national, and international ethical
standards. Evidence of ethical approval and informed consent must be
provided where applicable.
